NOT overnighted, as the personal banker requested and said would be done. They messed up my name on the credit card. I've never seen a bank that can miss up on things so badly in so little time. Huntington Bank was us getting frustrated with Truist and trying to switch banks. Then all of a sudden it worked 3 weeks later. No one could give you answers at the branch or corporate. Some people had their old cards deactivated and couldn't activate the new ones. Then no one could activate the cards for weeks. The primary also received new cards, but the number stayed the same. We had no issues whatsoever with Truist until their recent debacle with issuing new credit cards with different numbers to some accounts that had authorized users. We are beyond frustrated with BOTH banks. The initial start of this balance transfer was 9/27/23. Not having that balance still on the Truist credit card AND being been charged to the new Huntington Bank charge. Had this been done electronically, it would have been done and over with. That's where Huntington Bank is behind times with actually mailing out checks. Honestly, what century are we in? Almost everything is done electronically anymore. I was given he option of waiting a bit longer since Truist at one point actually said it could take up to 30 days to post. At this point, we finally know that the check had not been cashed. Kennedy with corporate has been phenomenal. What are the point in branches anymore?Īt this point, most of this has had to be handled through corporate/operations. Sad part, they are as unhelpful as Truist's branch. You actually have staff for the counter and staff for the drive through. They are however much better than Truist with staffing. A side note, the local Huntington Bank branch is unhelpful as well. I've talked or chatted with customer service, and even referred to a special section as this was now escalated within Huntington Bank. The worst part is both of these banks giving me different stories every time. I feel like at times I get the run around with Huntington Bank, saying they mailed it out weeks ago. Holding up lines in the drive thru and the lobby. ![]() This particular branch is bad during slow and busy times with socializing. Both the teller and personal bankers conversations with clients turned completely personal and extensive. ![]() The teller took the next person immediately and never checked with the personal banker. The teller was supposed to go over to see how long it would take after we did what we needed to do with a deposit, and then go to the next customer in line. She was will an older couple that was interested in opening accounts. The last time waiting to see a personal banker in regard to this issue with the balance transfer. We have had more than once just walked out. A lot of the times, even when they are busy, the employees will have long drawn out personal conversations with clients. Even the personal banker at times has had to come over to do teller duties. People running back and forth from the drive thru and counter. Nothing! We've been to the local branch which is understaffed at times. They wouldn't even verify if the address to where Huntington Bank sent the check was correct. I'm always told to contact Huntington Bank as they couldn't check anything as they didn't initiate the transfer. I've tried several times to get information from Truist. I have a reference number, the date the check was mailed from Huntington Bank to Truist, and the address Huntington Bank sent it. We did a balance transfer from Truist to Huntington Bank weeks ago. ![]() I have never dealt with such an unhelpful bank in my life.
